The UV Stratalinker is used to kill bacteria that are used as the food source in C. elegans lifespan experiments. When treating worms with drugs, especially antibiotics, the bacteria must be killed before proceeding with experimetns.

Notes and Warning: DO NOT touch the UV bulbs with bare hands. Always make sure that the machine is off before opening the door.

Equipment maintenance: Always clean the machine by wiping the inside down with a paper towel damp with ethanol.
