96-Well Plates

Description


96-well plates are plastic plates that are used for several protocols in lab, including collecting OD600's, analysis with the Victor Nivo, etc.

To do this, take a picture of the reagent on the shelf, save it on to the shared computer 'mccormicklab1>Wiki-Documents and Figures> Pictures for WIki with a file name of “nameofequipment-image.png” . Select “Add images and other files” from above and upload your image. When the Link Settings tab pops up, select “Direct link to original”, “Align the image on the right” and “Medium Version”, then click insert. You may have to mess with the size and position. Please ensure that all images are facing the correct direction. ]

[Insert Image of lab location here. To do this, take the template of the lab, that is in the wiki folder, and add a red dot in the location of the reagent using InkScape. Export the image to the dropbox folder 'mccormicklab1>Wiki-Documents and Figures> Pictures for Wiki….> equipment' With the file name of “nameofequipment-map.png”. Then, add the image by selecting “Add images and other files” from above and upload your image. Notes and Warning: We do re-use 96-well plates, but it is important to note that they are not sterilized after use. We cannot autoclave 96-well plates, so they can only be reused for protocols that do not require sterile technique, such as collecting an 0D600 after a worm lifespan.
