Ampicillin is used in the lab for bacteria that has a plasmid that can be selected for AMP resistance.

Location: -20°C Freezer

Directions

• In a15mL centrifuge tube, add 1/4 the final volume of dH20 (aliquoted baxter water)
• Add the appropriate amount of ampicillin
• Add water to the final volume
• Vortex to mix
• Filter sterilize into a clean, labeled tube
• Aliquot the solution-1mL into labeled flip top tubes and store in the -20ºC Drug stock box
