Instructions:
When adding a new media recipe, please make sure you link to all of the appropriate reagents and equipment needed in the recipe. This includes autoclaves and pH meters and anything else you could possibly link from another page. In order to use this template to make a new page, click “Edit this page” on the right and copy everything below this into the new wiki page in order to conserve formatting.

Enter description of the media, please link any protocols that it is used in.

To do this, take a picture of the reagent on the shelf, save it on to the shared computer 'mccormicklab1>Wiki-Documents and Figures> Pictures for WIki with a file name of “nameofmedia-image.png” . Select “Add images and other files” from above and upload your image. When the Link Settings tab pops up, select “Direct link to original”, “Align the image on the right” and “Medium Version”, then click insert. You may have to mess with the size. ]

[Insert Image of lab location here. To do this, take the template of the lab, that is in the wiki folder, and add a red dot in the location of the reagent using InkScape. Export the image to the dropbox folder 'mccormicklab1>Wiki-Documents and Figures> Pictures for Wiki….> Reagents' With the file name of “nameofmedia-map.png”. Then, add the image by selecting “Add images and other files” from above and upload your image. Notes and Warning: Please indicate here if the reagent requires any special handling or storage.
Directions Please include all appropriate directions for the type of media you are making. This will include what type of glassware is needed (ex: a flask at least 2x the volume of the final volume of media you are making), stir bars, stir plate, if the media needs to be pH-ed, autoclaving or filter sterilization, and anything else you can think of that will be useful for the next person making this type of media.

Please separate items that are added after autoclaving in a by merging a row and label it “Add after Autoclaving”.
