Pipette tips are disposable attachments for our pipettes. There are several different sizes that correspond to the different sized pipettes.

• P2 pipettes use P10 tips.
• P10 pipettes use P10 tips.
• P20 pipettes use P20 tips.
• P200 pipettes use P200 tips.
• P1000 pipettes use P1000 tips.

To do this, take a picture of the reagent on the shelf, save it on to the shared computer 'mccormicklab1>Wiki-Documents and Figures> Pictures for WIki with a file name of “nameofequipment-image.png” . Select “Add images and other files” from above and upload your image. When the Link Settings tab pops up, select “Direct link to original”, “Align the image on the right” and “Medium Version”, then click insert. You may have to mess with the size and position. Please ensure that all images are facing the correct direction. ]

Location: Boxes of pipette tips can be found on the shelf above each lab bench (red dots). Extra boxes are stored on the Shelves Z and AA

Notes and Warning: Pipette tips are sterile in the box. Please keep the lids closed when not using the boxes. Throw used tips in the “tip waste” buckets on the bench.

Equipment maintenance: If you notice any bench is low on any tips, or missing any tip boxes, please refill them. If we are running low on any tips, please add them to the order request sheet or notify your friendly neighborhood lab tech.
