The fume hood is used for storing all acidic, basic or flammable chemicals. The vacuum pump set up is also located in the hood as well as all hypoxia related work. Please be sure to leave all chemicals in the hood while using them to avoid inhaling any fumes.

Notes and Warning: DO NOT turn on the water in the hood. The cold water knob works and will create quite a mess. There is a constant flow of air in the fume hood, it does not need to be turned on.

Equipment maintenance: Weekly, clean out the fume hood with 70% Ethanol.
