6X PCR loading dye is used to stain your sample when run through gel electrophoresis. Dye allows you to keep track of how far your sample has moved through the gel. It also allows you to estimate that approximately the same amount of sample is added to each well. We use bromophenol blue and glycerol.
Add 2 μL of 6X loading dye to each well (with sample) of your PCR strip. Add directly into your sample.

Notes and Warning: Please use the flip-top tube labeled with a red dot. When that tube is finished, pick a new tube, and label it with a red dot. If you notice we are running low, make more or notify the tech.
This will normally make 30 mL of dye. Separate into 1 mL aliquots in labeled flip-top tubes.
