The UV Stratalinker is used to kill bacteria that are used as the food source in //C. elegans// lifespan experiments. When treating worms with drugs, especially antibiotics, the bacteria must be killed before proceeding with experimetns.

**Notes and Warning:** DO NOT touch the UV bulbs with bare hands. Always make sure that the machine is off before opening the door.

**Equipment maintenance:** Always clean the machine by wiping the inside down with a paper towel damp with ethanol.
