To make dropout plates you need to measure out:

  - 1.7g Yeast nitrogen Base (the one without ammonium sulfate or nutrients)
  -  5g Ammonium sulfate 
  -  20g Sunrise (or BD) Agar 
  -  1.4g of the premixed [[sc_and_dropout_powders|SC]] or [[sc_and_dropout_powders|dropout powder]]
      
  *    all of which is mixed in 1L of water 
  *    make sure that a stir bar and a little water are placed in the flask you're using beforehand so that everything will mix properly.
  *    after adding and mixing the ingredients, pH to 5.9
  * stick the mixture in the autoclave.
  *    after autoclave:
  add 40mL 50% glucose from our stock solution using a stipette.
