==== Description ==== ---- The Replica Plating Tool uses a sheet of velvet cloth on a cylindrical metal press with a circular band that allows for copying of certain yeast strains to more plates. You push down the sheet of velvet on the cylindrical press using the circular band to keep the velvet in place. You then push the inside of the plate of yeast gently on the velvet to allow for the velvet to pick up the yeast needed. Finally, you take your empty plates that you need to replicate and gently push the plate over the yeast on the velvet. The Replica Plating Tool is located in drawer #38. {{ :replicaplatingtool-image.jpg?200|}} **Location:**{{:replicaplatingtool-map.png?200|}} **Notes and Warning:** N/A **Equipment maintenance:** Make sure that the velvet is rinsed with regular water in the sink while scrubbing both sides of the velvet together to remove the yeast.
