The 5415R Refrigerated Centrifuge is the refrigerated version of the [[5415d_centrifuge|5415D]] tabletop centrifuge. This should be used whenever a protocol calls for spinning microcentrifuge tubes at a temperature lower than room temperature or whenever spinning live cells at high speeds.

**Notes and Warning:** Please remember to always balance all centrifuges when running. Tube types, location and volume all need to be balanced in order to avoid destroying lab equipment.  

**Equipment maintenance:** Please clean the inside the centrifuge thoroughly if anything ever spills. Weekly the inside of the lid and rotor should be wiped down with 70% EtOH in order to clean up any residual liquid.
