0.5M EDTA is used to make 50x TAE and 10x TE Buffer.

===== Media Recipe and Directions=====

**Directions** 
  * Grab a beaker of the appropriate size and add a stir bar
  * Add about 1/4 of the final volume of miliQ Water
  * Add the appropriate amount of EDTA and the NaOH.
  * Adjust volume to about 100mL below your final volume
  * Adjust the pH of your solution to 8 using 50% NaOH. Your solution will not fully dissolve until you reach pH 8.
  * Add milliQ Water to meet your final volume
  * Transfer the solution into labeled bottles
  * Autoclave
